Mission Statement
REAL EXPERIENCE THAT PUTS YOU AHEAD
We believe that there is no better way to learn underwriting than working on a live deal. Our fund gives students direct exposure to the full underwriting cycle: from sourcing and diligence to pitching to the investment committee, while they're still in college. Our goal is simple: when BUREC members walk into their interviews or first internships, they're already fluent.
Investment Memorandum
TWO STRATEGIES, ONE MARKET
The fund deploys capital across two complementary strategies within the Greater Boston multifamily market.
Core/Core+
Stabilized Multifamily
We invest in stabilized and lightly value-add Boston multifamily assets, providing consistent exposure to institutional-quality underwriting in one of the nation's most supply-constrained markets.
Opportunistic
Community-building housing
Targeted investments in housing developments that prioritize community outcomes. We address Boston's affordability gaps while creating environments where residents thrive and connect.

HOW WE GOT HERE
Fund Timeline
April 2025 - Ideation
The fund concept was developed as a student-run vehicle that could deploy real capital into Boston real estate and create a durable educational institution.
June 2025 - $1MM Raised
In just two months, $1,000,000 in commitments was secured from alumni sponsors, validating the concept and establishing the fund's initial capital base
Now - Building for the Long Term
We are formalizing the fund's corporate entity and partnering with the university to build the academic infrastructure — curriculum, faculty relationships, and governance — to ensure this fund outlasts any individual class of students.
